Effective date: 2026-05-27. Last updated: 2026-05-27.
MUR Initiative ("we", "us", "our") is a non-governmental organization registered in Mongolia. We operate the website at nature.mn to share our conservation work and accept donations. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
1. What we collect
We try to collect as little personal information as possible. Specifically:
- Donor message form. When you leave a public message of support on a campaign page, we collect the display name you enter, the message text, and an optional donation amount you mention. This is the only form on the site that stores user-submitted data.
- Email correspondence. If you email us at info@nature.mn, we will see your email address and the contents of your message.
- Bank-transfer donations. When you wire a donation to our bank account, your bank shares your name and account number with our bank as part of the transfer record. We see this information through our banking statements.
- Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) logs basic server-side request data such as IP address and user agent. This is used for security and uptime monitoring; we do not maintain a separate copy.
2. What we do NOT collect
- We do not run third-party advertising or marketing trackers.
- We do not set non-essential cookies. The site is cookie-free for visitors.
- We do not process credit cards on our site. No card details ever touch our servers.
- We do not share, sell, or rent personal information to third parties.
3. How we use your information
- To moderate and publish donor messages on the campaign pages (only after a team member has reviewed and approved the message).
- To acknowledge donations and issue receipts when you transfer funds and email us your details.
- To respond to your enquiries when you contact us.
4. Where your data lives
Public site content and donor messages are stored in our content management system (Sanity.io), hosted on Sanity's global cloud infrastructure. The public website is hosted on Vercel. Email is handled by our domain registrar's email service. All providers are subject to their own privacy policies, which you can find on their respective websites.
5. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- See what personal information we hold about you
- Correct or update that information
- Delete a public donor message you submitted
- Stop receiving communications from us
Email info@nature.mn with your request and we will respond within 30 days.
6. Children
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please email us and we will delete it.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be announced on our homepage or by email if we have your address.
8. Contact
